Recycle Old Wrapping Paper DIY + Bespoke Black Box Giveaway #10 (Ended)

8:30 AM

Do you ever have small bits and pieces of wrapping paper leftover that you just end up throwing away? I have the same issue every year and I finally found a fun, creative alternative to just tossing the scraps away. I used the leftover wrapping paper to line the inside of my envelopes! It's a very simple detail, but it'll make the world of difference for invitations, birthday cards and thank you notes. Check out the simple tutorial below:

All you'll need to complete this is an envelope, glue stick, a pair of scissors, a pen/pencil and the leftover wrapping paper. To start, trace the flap of the envelope onto the wrapping paper. It's hard to see below, but I traced the flap in red pen. Make sure to cut out excess wrapping paper in the bottom. Cut along the lines.

Line the wrapping paper up with the flap of the envelope. Don't cover the sticky part of the flap, where you lick to close to envelope. Position the wrapping paper just below that. Stick any excess paper inside the envelope.

Once positioned correctly, use a glue stick to glue down the wrapping paper. I applied glue generously onto the envelope flap and pressed the wrapping paper down hard. I let it dry for about 5 minutes.

Finally, fold the envelope flap down to create the crease on the wrapping paper. Voila you're finished! This is perfect if you have winter birthdays. The wintery theme of your wrapping paper will add a nice surprise! I think the nutcrackers are cute - they're not solely Christmas, so it's safe to re-use them for a winter event (birthday, wedding, etc).

I will be using this for my upcoming wedding diy for my invitations and thank you cards! Check back later to see how that DIY is progressing.

Before we go, I'd like to share giveaway #10 with you today. Only two more giveaways left until the end of the #12DaysofGiveaways series. Thank you to all those who have participated so far! Today, we are giving away the 2016 Bespoke Black Box. See what's inside...
