Travel Log: Austin, TX

Hey all, I just got back from my weekend trip to Austin and it was a blast! It was warm(er), sunny and filled with delicious food! Check out some of my pics from the amazing weekend:
Food
Of course, I'm going to start with food. There was a lot to eat in Austin, but I was most excited for steak and barbeque. BBQ down south is more like brisket, not the typical BBQ you think, like ribs and such. Oh also, fried chicken is amazing! Pretty sure I gained like 5 pounds in 4 days. If you didn't know, I'm a huge Yelper and I included links to the full reviews I've written for the below restaurants:
Cedar Door - Chicken Pot Pie
Places
Mexic-Arte Museum
Bars
The 'Dirty' 6th aka 6th Street, a street full of bars that stretch for about a mile long

Prime Ribeye from Perry's Steakhouse - Expensive, but so worth it.
Chipotle Mac & Cheese from 219 West; came here on Valentine's Day!
Fried chicken plate with potato salad and fries from Gus Fried Chicken.
Tex Mex Barbeque from Valentina's Food Truck. It was way too cold outside so we got it to go and ate it in our hotel room with some Archer.
Amy's Ice Cream is delicious! First photo is a Lawless Walrus and second photo is of the chocolate covered strawberries my bf got me!
Continental breakfast at Hampton Inn!
Places
Mexic-Arte Museum

Beautiful stain glass on Brazos street.
Umlauf Sculpture Garden is beautiful!
Lake at the Austin Nature and Science Museum.
Top of the State Capitol building in Austin.

OK so I'm jealous of EVERYTHING you ate and EVERYWHERE you went! Looks like the perfect trip!!! I was supposed to go to SXSW a few times but I always ended up being too poor. Maybe one day...!
