DIY: Chevron Clothespin Jewelry Hangers

9:00 AM

As you all know, I moved into a new place recently (about two months now!). I've been slacking on the decorating part, mainly because we signed a six month lease and we're not sure if we're going to re-sign. I don't want to put in all this effort if we're going to pick up and leave in four months.

But these bare walls don't feel like home. I caved in. I'm ready to add some personal touches to this place. I'm not going to go crazy, buying new furniture, building new shelves or painting the walls, but I will DIY some cute things that really represent me. The first thing I decided to focus on is my jewelry. Mission: Get it organized. My jewelry is all over the place. If you come in my room, you'll see rings in my desk drawers, necklaces thrown in a small chest and bracelets lying on my windowsill. It's chaos. I bought some mini clothespins a while back and thought of making them into jewelry hangers.

DIY: Chevron Clothespin Jewelry Hangers

For all my lazy girls, this DIY is for you! It's so easy and takes you about 10 minutes to complete (minus the drying time for the polish). These little clothespin are perfect for holding jewelry, especially necklaces and bracelets. It's better if your jewelry is smaller and lighter, but you can buy bigger clothespins to hold the bigger and bulkier pieces. Check it out, in 4 easy steps, you'll have beautiful jewelry hangers:

Steps:

I said it was simple didn't I? The only thing left to do is to hang them up! I used scotch tape to hang them up on the wall, but you can use double sided tape too. Scotch tape is pretty transparent and it's not noticeable even when it's light out, so I opted for that instead. The double sided tape I have is awesome at sticking to things, so awesome that I think it's going to chip the paint on the walls when I rip it off.

Here's what my new wall looks like. I also bought a jewelry tree stand and a bunny ring holder as well. They add a nice touch to the room!

Yeah, I did a little silly (kinda sexy?) pose. Thought I'd add some flair if my reflection is going to be in the photo. Hope you guys enjoyed the DIY! What did you do this weekend?
