Another school year is starting soon. Can you believe it?? I remember the first day of school. I always made a big deal out of it. Every single year. I think it's because I got to start over. I was given a fresh start, a blank slate if you will. And this "new beginning" theme always reflected in how I dressed and how I wore my makeup on that first day. I wanted to look refreshed and effortless, ready to tackle any obstacle that comes in my way. And who wouldn't want to look and feel like that?
My #AllDayLook is perfect for students. The look is simple and takes only 10 minutes to do. I'm specifically focusing on Neturogena because their products keep my hair and skin healthy and beautiful all day long so I can focus on other things (classes, organizations, volunteering, you name it!). Who doesn't love that? Plus, my makeup stays put all day long, so no awkward smudges or lines to be seen.
Check out the pictorial below for my all-day effortless look. Don't worry, there's a step-by-step guide at the bottom in case you need extra help!
Step 1: Let's start with hair. I love using the Triple Repair Fortifying Shampoo & Conditioner. This set is great at keeping my hair healthy and shiny, despite all the curling and blow drying I do. When I'm in a time crunch though, I'll skip the shampoo and go straight to the conditioner. For me, the conditioner is what keeps my hair untangled and silky smooth!
Step 2 & 3. Now, let's move on to the face. You don't have to, but I usually moisturize before putting on foundation to keep my skin hydrated. Then, I'll put on the Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup in 'Medium Beige'. This is one of my faves because it contains antioxidants and has SPF coverage, which is perfect for the warmer seasons. I pour the liquid onto the back of my hand and use a brush to apply it on my face. I find that the coverage is much smoother when I use a brush.
Step 4 & 5. Using the Nourishing Eyeliner in 'Spiced Chocolate', draw a thick line on the top of your eyelid. I like to draw over a few times to really make the brown color pop. Then, use the smudger on the opposite end and smudge the eyeliner at an upward angle. Blend the eyeliner close to your crease. This creates a soft, smokey effect and really draws the attention to the eyes.
Step 6. Prep your lashes with a curler (if needed) and add 2-3 coats of Healthy Volume Mascara for thicker and fuller lashes. Wink a couple of times to make sure you have the swoon effect ready in case you bump into a cutie.
Step 7. Apply the MoistureSmooth Color Stick in 'Sweet Watermelon' for a whisper of pink color and shimmer and a lot of moisture to keep those lips hydrated all throughout the day!
Step 8. Voila, your back to school makeup look is complete!
Pro Tip: Set your makeup - it'll last longer throughout the day. I recommend using the Shine Control Powder. It soaks up excess oil to keep you shine-free all day. Hayden Panettiere loves this product as well and uses in her 'Day Off' look below.
Where can you find Neutrogena? Only the best place on Earth, aka Target! You can find it elsewhere, but Target is my go-to store for everything and anything. Plus, they're having a 20% off sale on all Neutrogena products from now until 8/30, so get the deal here while you can! Don't get lost, the aisle looks like this:
Also, Target and Neutrogena have teamed up to bring a Target Beauty Concierge event at select Target stores around the country this month. Event begins August 24th (Limited quantities available). Check with your local Target store for Beauty Concierge day and times. The beauty advisors are super helpful, so don't be shy about asking about what Neutrogena has to offer and what you're looking for in a product.
I hope you guys enjoyed this look! Be sure to check back Saturday for back to school outfit tips!
