Five Confessions Through Someecards

Finally Friday! I don't think I've been this excited for the weekend since, well, last week. Days have been passing by slower than usual, but this could be because I'm on vacation next week. Anyway, today's post is a bit more personal. I have a lot on my mind and I thought I'd share some of it with you guys. All with someecards of course.

Confession #1: I've thought about boozin' at least three times this week.

And this week hasn't even ended yet...Granted, I've only been out of college for less than a year now. I think I still have an excuse. Drinking used to be a sport in my school. Beer Olympics is fiercely competitive and not for the sober-hearted! Recently, I've been wanting to expand my wine and beer palette, so I've been doing some research online. I had no idea how complex wine was. To me, it was just red or white, but then I found out about dry vs sweet, roses, different ranges of red, etc. I need to up my game! If you guys have any good suggestions, please let me know! - I buy store-brand groceries so I can afford top-shelf booze.

Confession #2: I drink milk all the time even though I'm lactose intolerant.

This doesn't sound like a big deal, but it really is. For my entire life I thought your stomach was supposed to feel queasy and uncomfortable after drinking milk. That is, until last year when my mom decided to casually drop the line, "You're drinking milk? You know you're lactose intolerant, right?" Uh, now I do. Thanks for waiting 20-some-odd years to tell me! Luckily, I'm so used to the side effects that I just drink milk anyway. - Sorry you think it's intolerant of me to not tolerate your intolerance.

Confession #3: I bought 7 pairs of shoes online last week and my justification was that I would get free shipping.

Um yeah...if you know me, you'll know that I have a horrible addiction to shoes. I just never have enough pairs! It's one of my most impulse buys as well. Usually, I'd worry about sizing and quality, especially since I can't touch or feel the product. But last week, that stuff didn't even come to mind. All I could think about were shoes. - Let's get our mind off America's debt crisis by maxing out our credit cards on a reckless shopping binge

Confession #4: I'm not obsessed with Orange is the New Black.

I know so many people, especially girls, who LOVE this show. I started it because of the buzz but I really didn't connect with it. At first it was pretty good, I liked how they showed everyone's history and how they ended up where they are now. I really liked "crazy eyes" but they didn't seem to develop that as much toward the middle of the season. I haven't finished season 1 yet. The reason I stopped was because the chicken episode seemed so pointless to me that I decided to shut it off. I might give it another chance though. Ladies, is it worth it? - I don't have the energy to pretend I like you today.

Confession #5: I want an iPad.

I'm using my mom's iPad to write this post as we speak and I love it. And I say that grudgingly because I never thought I'd like an Apple product. Let's keep this on the down low though. I don't want my Samsung SIII to get jealous. - I can't wait to obsess over, overspend on, and then complain about whatever product Steve Jobs unveils next

  1. Have you tried soy milk or almond milk or lactose free milk? My hubby is lactose sensitive and can handle 2% milk but not whole milk. There are options now. And some are even flavored!

    1. I definitely need to try it. I've just gotten used to the consequences of regular milk that it doesn't even bother me anymore. I probably should switch though just because regular milk might be too much for my body to handle.

  2. hahah i love the one that said I dont have energy to like you today <3

  3. As for wine, you should definitely try to go to a few tastings! I love trying different varieties to see how they compare. Some places will even provide you with cheese and things to snack on while you sip. Can't beat that! And about wine being's SO much more complex than you can imagine. I recommend watching the documentary SOMM. It's on Netflix and is about a group of people that are studying to become master sommeliers. Very interesting!

    1. Thank you! I'll definitely look into SOMM. I really want to go to a tasting, I have to check out what's in my area!
